Ifrah Foundation play a lead role in the elimination of FGM

November 25th, UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women raises awareness regarding an ongoing human rights issue.
The Ifrah Foundation who are strong advocates against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) held a virtual charity premiere launch of ‘A Girl from Mogadishu’, Winner of the Cinema for Peace Women’s Empowerment Award at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival.

Craigie Communications coordinated the media campaign for this securing coverage in the Irish Times, Sunday Times and Sunday Independent as well as podcasts and online coverage. Ifrah Ahmed, who hails from Somalia where over 98% of girls and women are cut is a powerful voice for the charity saying ‘she will not stop talking until we are free of FGM’.
